Land art is a type of conceptual and minimal art. It developed in the Sixties and implies an interaction between the artist and the scenery in order to create objects, using only locally found organic materials: water, rocks, ground, branches, greenery, …
As the design includes local materials and no technical aids, it takes a lot of skill to achieve a creation.
Most of the objects don’t last, and it’s just a matter of time before they vanish in the landscape they were made in: the only trace left will be what was captured on the photographs.
